Hassen is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy and energy storage sectors, with extensive experience in project finance and development. Co-founder of ion Ventures, an international energy transition specialist focused on clean energy and flexibility technology solutions aimed at supporting the integration of renewables into the grid. Since 2018, Hassen has led ion Ventures in advancing renewable generation and electrification schemes across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Prior to this, Hassen held key positions at Lightsource Renewable Energy, Cadence RB Limited, Ventura Climate Capital and Markit focusing on clean technology, environmental market and carbon finance.
